Secondary research or desk research is a research method that involves using already existing data. Existing data is summarized and collated to increase the overall effectiveness of research. This research includes research material published in research reports and similar documents. These documents can be made available by public libraries, websites, data obtained from already filled in etc. Some government and non-government agencies also store data, that can be used for research purposes and can be retrieved from them. Secondary research is much more cost-effective than primary research, as it makes use of already existing data, unlike primary research where data is collected first hand by organizations or businesses or they can employ a third party to collect data on their behalf.

This is a podcast that I had listened to learn about the case. I listend to this case a few times just so I could make notes on the case without missing any important details. I had listened to it a few times whilst making notes so I could get all of the notes I could.

This is the video that gave me the insperation to do this case. It is a 40 minute long case that details the background of the killer, the events that leads up to the night of the murder, the actual murder and the events. I watched this video twice to make sure there was enough detail for me to make notes with, which there was as I had ended up making a four page googl document page. This video was really informative and was deatiled. I had wathced the video whilst making notes so I could gt all of the information I could.
News articles
This is one of the first articles I had read about the murder case. It gives a run down about the basics of the case, mentioning the significant parts and about the whole case. This was useful to me as I knew I wanted to make a newspaper article about the case after filming. So I needed to do some research on what online news articles look like so I knew I was going to make something similar.
